If your Air Suspension Compressor Intake Hose has an air leak it can cause the Air Suspension Compressor to overwork and burn out.

If your Intake Hose is dry rotted and has holes in it you will need to replace it before you compressor gets damaged. The Filter will prevent any fluid, dirt, debris, or contaminants to enter and possibly damaging the Air Suspension Compressor.
